What the Fed Interest _ Hike Means for Mortgage

Over the past 18 _ or so, the term ‘_ Hike’ has become a _- topic. This has caused _, fear and anxiety for _, especially home buyers. It’s _ to know when purchasing _ home that a rate _ announced by the Fed _ not necessarily mean that interest rate on a will rise in correlation.

Long term mortgage rates, may include but are limited to 30 Year, 20 Year, 15 Year and 10 year fixed rates, are by the purchasing of Backed Securities sometimes referred __ as MBS and not or controlled by the __ Reserve. While the rate by the Fed may _ MBS purchasing or selling can impact mortgage rates, _ are not necessarily controlled __ Fed moves. In fact, _ the Fed announced its 25 (.25%) rate hike in of 2015, mortgage rates __ as much as 50 (.50%) shortly after that. announcement June 14th also rates moving down slightly had the 10 year rate hitting its lowest in 2017.

When it comes to rates, there are two _ that are certain: rates _ go up and rates _ go down. That is it’s important for homebuyers __ understand the rates and options available to them, __ evaluate the situation, and _ a decision that fits goals and comfort level.
