As the fight against _ injustice continues, there is _ heightened awareness and importance Juneteenth, the national commemoration __ the end of slavery. __ honor this important date, __ closed our branches and __ at 1:00 p.m. on _, June 19, 2020.
We are an organization _ believes in the equitable _ of everyone and we _ a firm stance against _ and oppression. This is __ essential element to our __ and a pledge that __ support in our daily _.
My journey at Great __ Bank began on March 9__, moments before our world __ forever. In my first 3 months I focused on _ myself to the organization learning from our employees _ makes GWB special. An _ culture has been a for GWB and the _ has built a solid . This foundation, though, began _ COVID-19. Before the damage _ on our economy. Before __. Floyd’s unjust death and generational pain brought to forefront. Before.
The reality is that past practices, while meaningful, not enough. Overcoming the _ insurmountable issues facing our __ requires intentional change. Inaction __ not an acceptable answer.
Our action started last _ when, in addition to observance of Juneteenth, we __ a Paid Volunteer Day our employees to utilize __ another day of reflection to assist in enacting social change in our _.
So while our foundation built before global health concerns before the uncomfortable truth __ inequality echoed throughout our _, this is our turning . Because together, rather than solely on what happened before , we can BE FOR change. We can BE FOR holistic inclusion. And __ can BE FOR greater impacts within organization and our communities. __ will get the basics , we will be authentic respectful, and we will __ the right thing.
